Seychelles
Seychelles is perhaps the most beautiful and exotic beach of the island, and for many, of the Aegean in general. Its landscape is reminiscent of exotic paradises, as its name suggests. The beach was recently created after a rockslide, caused by a landslide for the opening of a tunnel-road to the village of Manganitis.
Once there, you will be impressed by the unique blue waters, the sandy beach and the small pebbles that create a tropical setting. The beauty of the landscape is complemented by the huge granite rocks that surround the beach and the hidden caves waiting to be explored.
The Seychelles is the ideal beach for young people and couples. Although accessing the beach is not very time-consuming, it does require caution. You can leave your car in an outdoor parking lot on the main road and then walk about 10 minutes down a rough downhill path.
Mesacte
Mesakti beach is one of the best on the island, combining an extensive golden sandy beach and crystal clear turquoise waters (when it is oil). During the summer months, it is organized with umbrellas and sunbeds.
It attracts visitors for surfing (when there is a wave) but is ideal for families with young children. Apart from swimming, you can enjoy a snack or a cold drink at the beach bar located along the beach, enjoying the view from the chapel of the Ascension located at the edge of the coast.
Access to Mesakti beach is easy, not requiring much walking. After leaving your car on the main road, you will need to descend a few steps or some downhill to reach the beach.
St George
In Ikaria, at the northeastern end of the island, is the beach of Agios Georgios or Ai Giorgis.
The beach of Agios Georgios is sandy and has crystal clear waters to swim in peace and quiet, as it is not particularly crowded. After your swim you can take a walk to the nearby chapel of Agios Georgios, from which the beach takes its name.
Kampos
Kampos beach is considered one of the largest and most comfortable beaches on the island. The coastline is adorned with white sand mixed with fine pebbles. The sea is relatively shallow and warm, with a stunning turquoise hue.
In the eastern part of the beach there is a river delta, which originates from the mountains that surround the village. It forms picturesque small lakes surrounded by a green landscape.
Trapalu
It is a small village in the south of the island near Karkinagri, which has a small harbour and a homonymous beach that stretches next to it. Above the harbour there is a tavern offering snacks.
The beach has pebbles and sand. Although it is not organized, it offers a unique tranquility for lovers of unspoilt nature, as it is not very well known to the world.
Arriving at the beach, you can admire the stunning mountains!
For access to the area, there is sea transport by boat and a dirt road that connects the village with Karkinagri and Manganitis.
