Car Rental Terms & Conditions
1. Renter’s Responsibility
Upon signing the rental agreement, the renter assumes full responsibility for the proper use and condition of the vehicle throughout the rental period.
2. Vehicle Condition
The renter is required to inspect the vehicle upon collection and return it in the same condition, excluding normal wear and tear.
3. Driver Requirements
The minimum age for renting a vehicle is 23 years. The driver must have held a valid driving license for at least two (2) years.
4. Driving License
A valid and recognized driving license is required. Non-EU citizens must also present an International Driving Permit (IDP) along with their national license.
5. Fines and Violations
The renter is solely responsible for any traffic violations, fines, or penalties incurred during the rental period.
6. Payment Method
A credit or debit card is required for all rentals, regardless of whether the payment is made in cash or by card. The total rental amount must be prepaid upon vehicle pickup.
7. Cancellation Policy
• Cancellations made 21 days or more before the scheduled pickup date: full refund of the deposit (transfer fees are borne by the customer).
• Cancellations made less than 21 days prior to pickup: 50% of the total rental cost for the cancelled days will be charged.
8. Additional Driver
One driver is included free of charge. A second driver is charged €5 per day. Undeclared drivers are subject to a €100 penalty.
9. Fuel Policy
The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as when collected. If returned with less fuel, the renter will be charged the difference. No refunds are given for excess fuel.
10. Accident Procedure
In the event of an accident, the renter must immediately inform both the rental company and the police, and provide an official Accident Report Form.
11. Insurance Coverage
The vehicle is covered by third-party liability insurance and a mixed CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) insurance with a customer participation ranging from €500 to €1,500 + VAT (based on the vehicle's value). Beyond this amount, the remaining sum is covered, provided there has been no violation of the Highway Code. Damages to tires, rims, or the underside of the vehicle are not covered. The insurance does not apply to transport via ships/ferries nor to the loss of personal belongings.
12. Roadside Assistance
Free roadside assistance is provided for mechanical breakdowns during business hours.
13. Prohibited Uses
Without prior written authorization from the company, the following are strictly prohibited:
• Driving the vehicle outside Greek borders
• Transporting the vehicle via ferry or ship
